Pole Dancing and Launching

Well, today is the day!  Started out by getting hauled up the mast to re-configure one of the wind instruments, and to see up close the condition of the standing rigging and fittings, etc…. Quite a view from up there, but I did not take a camera up.  But Maggie got a few pictures from below.  Maggie offered me a 5 coupon ride down (only those of you old enough will get that one), but I declined, as the safety harness was already riding uncomfortably in the groin area.

And we got her into the water!  The yard crew came by with a tractor and hydraulic trailer, picked up the boat, and wheeled it to the boat launch ramp.  Only took about 15 minutes from start to finish.  Frick it looks big going down the lane pushed by the tractor.  So we will be staying tied up to this dock overnight, and head out tomorrow morning for the Calanques (look it up).  Still have a few things we have to figure out.  Could not get the generator going (might be a fuel pump problem), and without that the watermaker won’t work.  So we are on a tight power and water budget for the time being.
