We’ve Recovered some of our stuff…

Hey everyone.. just a quick update… last night about an hour after we posted our blog, the National Police stopped by the boat to tell us that they had recovered our back pack and most of our stuff. This morning we went to the police station and were so happy that we were able to recover so much… Got 4/5 cell phones back (but sim cards were removed & phones were reset)… Scott got his computer !! Unfortunately Scott’s wedding ring, our hard drive, my watch and a few other things were not recovered. The officer who recovered our stuff came in on his day off to do up the paper work & then insisted on taking us out for lunch and to a local festival. What was a horrible start to our stay here turned into meeting some very wonderful people. We originally arrived to enjoy the natural beauty of the landscape, and are leaving having experienced the beautiful culture of the Cape Verde people.

And now we are preparing the boat to set off into the Atlantic… we may have wifi as we pass by the last 2 Cape Verde islands.
